Eclipse Webdav and FTP support

Provides extra Team support for FTP and WebDAV servers. This plugin makes it easy to import from and export to an FTP or WebDav server, and to review differences between local and remote versions of files. This plugin will be replaced in the future by some other plugin. It is no longer maintained by Eclipse.org



Note that we have not tested this plugin extensively. It may not work properly. Feel free to give feedback in the comments.

Installing this plugin

This plugin is not shipped in any distribution. You must manually install it on an EasyEclipse distribution. No other installation will be needed, because this plugin has no dependencies.

Getting started

Help is available for this plugin, in the Help > Help Contents menu in EasyEclipse.

You can access the FTP and WebDav functionalities from the File > Import and File > Export menus. You must then specify a folder or project, then provide the credentials, and the wizard will show you the changes between your version and the server version.

You can also use the Synchronize view. You must open it at first, and select the Synchronize button in the upper right to launch the Create Synchronization wizard.

I have some troubles when synchronising with http://ftp.
When i change index.php and then synchronise, I get this error:

Error while sending file
Resource is out of sync with the file system: /project/app/tmp/cache/models/default_advertisements.

This i’m getting when I want to export a project with http://ftp.

This plugin is a perfect example of how the ecplipse community regards the requirements of fast one person web development from a perspective far beyond reality.
It is not anymore supportet and the several bugs in it are not fixed. Eclipse FTP Support is totally crap. They want you to use Remote Systems Plugin wich doesn’t meet the need of FTP Development and Sync.

The 3.3.0.M6 for EasyEclipse 1.3 files don’t seem to be downloadable from SourceForge. The mirrors I tried all displayed “Not found” pages for the 3.3.0.M6 download.

Cant get it to work with Webdav. Keeps saying Connection Reset without issuing any reasons.

I can’t even find the plugin… It’s installed, and Eclipse says it’s installed and configured properly, but I can’t find anything mentioning WebDAV or FTP in the views menu.

I am having some problems… everyday i need to overwrite and download EVERY file .. the sync manager say’s they are red …

can anyone help me please .. it sucks to download 3 GB every time i need to start working ….
